National Conference @ IMR

SSR IMR conducted a National Conference on 16th & 17th March 2013 with the theme “Management Innovation through Functional Reengineering”.  The Institute was privileged to greet the VC of SKM University, DUMKA, Jharkhand Dr. Basheer Ahmed Khan as the Chief Guest of the session.  Dr. Gaikwad (Director, BCUD), Dr. Sachin Vernekar (Director, IMED), and Mr. Ravi Chawla (CEO & President- Gulf Oil Corporation) were the Guest of Honour for the Event.  50 delegates from 13 Universities across 6 States presented their Research Papers in the Conference in 6 different tracks.

Manthan An Initiative by Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG), New Delhi

Citizens for Accountable Governance, a not-for-profit organization organized a nationwide youth convention on 2nd October 2013, to come up with innovative solutions to 14 critical challenges that India faces today.  It was attended by more than 7500 students across India. The IMR Team comprising of Vanita Jain, Jyothi Kothari, Swathi Vijaykumar, Rutika Chhajer and Nipun Pandya contributed a solution for  “Boosting Skillsets: Increasing the Employability of Youth” , and were invited for the convention.

Session on Transfer Pricing

A session on Transfer Pricing was conducted at the Premises by the representatives from IPPL, Rakholi (Mr. Dharmesh Varma, Mr. Neelabh Kaushik  & Mr. Vasudev Iyer).  The students appreciated the practical exposure provided to them pertaining to the subject.

Session by Mr. Paul Goldring

Mr. Paul a resident of England engaged the session with MBA 2nd year students. The focus of the session was on enriching students with his knowledge & experience. Mr. Paul in general spoke about the Japanese & Chinese Business models and compared the same with Indian style. He guided the students with respect to the skill sets and attitude required during work.

Session on MS Excel & Advance Excel

Mr. Neelabh Kaushik, representing IPPL, Dapada, DNH conducted a One day workshop for students on MS Excel and Advance Excel. The aim was to equip students with the techniques of MS Excel leading to enhancement of Employability among students. The session was successfully conducted.  The students not just got the opportunity to inculcate Excel skills but also had an opportunity to interact with the Industry representative.
